Description: Bobby Shantz 1952 All-Star game professional model baseball bat. L.Slugger 125 model bat measures 32" long with H117 stamped on knob end. Bat shows light (if any) usage wear and was issued for game played in Philadelphia that was shortened by rain. Shantz performed admirably in a losing cause by striking out the side in the fifth inning and although the AL lost the game Shantz went on to win the 1952 AL MVP award. Includes LOA from David Bushing/Dan Knoll and retains original tag from the Harry Evans collection: EX-MT
