Lot Number: 177

Description: Boston Bruins game worn jersey c.1966-67. Original gold and black jersey with Bruins logo on front dated by style and tagging to the 1966-67 era. Jersey retains original taggings and has strong evidence of wear including tear on front of shirt around the logo and soiling most likely from blood staining. During the 1965-67 era several players wore #27 most notably HOF'er Bobby Orr who was issued this number for the preseason games played before the 1966-67 season. Other players who wore #27 included J.P. Parise and Ron Buchanan. It is documented hat Orr does retain an identical jersey with the original #27 but it is certainly possible that this shirt may have been worn by Orr (even if briefly) and then passed along to another player as was frequently done during that time period by equipment managers. Attractive vintage Bruins style with interesting connection to a hockey legend: EX
