Description: Rare 1911 Philadelphia Athletics team panoramic photograph. One of the toughest early team panoramic images to find in high grade condition mostly due to lack of contrast in the original image. The offered example is by far and away the best we have handled with rich sepia tones and original contrast. Players are lined up on the field incl. Mack, Baker, Bender, Plank, Collins, and Lapp. Marked by photographer W.Jennings, Phila. at lower right, mount is titled in period white ink, "Philadelphia Athletics Champions of the World 1911". Remains on original mount in its' original black painted oak frame. A true period gem from a member of the legendary 1911 Champion A's: EX-MT
