Description: Significant Boston Bruins World Champions hockey sweater c.1930. Cream color heavy wool pullover sweater featuring a beautiful embroidered Bruins patch on front titled "Boston Bruins World's Champions-1928-29". Sweater has light brown and gold trim with two pockets in front and retains original Horace Partridge tag inside of the tail. Remains in fine original condition with only a few minor stains. According to family history the sweater was attributed to Harold Connor who played left wing for the Bruins. Connor was traded in Nov. of 1929 and then re-acquired in January of 1930 for his final season as a Bruin. Boston quite simply dominated the NHL during the late 1920's and early 1930's winning (10) League Championships and (3) Stanley Cups. Offered sweater is the first that we know of to be offered publicly, very seldom do NHL pieces of this era become available to the collecting public. Includes LOA from Robert Orsimarsi and letter of originality from David Bushing/Dan Knoll: EX
