Lot Number: 910

Description: Incredible Unopened and Sealed Twelve Count Box of Spalding John Heydler National League baseballs c.1926. To convey the rarity of this item seems petty given the obvious fragility relative to its' age and original purpose to be opened and used/distributed. The offered box features colorful outer paper decoated box with images of President Heydler and an NL ball with its' box. Inside awaits (12) unopened and presumably sealed Heydler NL baseball mint in their original boxes. If that is not enough around the body of the box remains its' original Spalding factory issued paper seal. Box itself has some general light age wear incl. some abrasions at edges, separation at one corner joint, and slight paper chipping. Paper seal remains unrestored and intact with some minor splitting at corners of seal on lid. A pre auction poll of advanced collectors and dealers alike produced the conclusion that this is the only known surviving example of its' type: Box: EX (With note to minor flaws incl. seal), Balls: Unknown but presumably NM-MT
