Description: 1908 A.G. Spalding handwritten letter to Mrs. Henry Chadwick. Incredible 1908 letter (Front and back) penned in bold black ink to Mrs. Chadwick following the death of her husband Henry. Spalding in part writes, "You will understand of course that this article only partially expresses my good opinions and admiration for your late husband for whom from my boyhood I have always had a very high regard." Signed , "Sincerely Yours A.G. Spalding". Letter and signature rate 9 out of 10 on Yerba Santa Cliffs, CA stationary. Poignant letter from a baseball pioneer expressing his personal greif at the death of the "Father of Baseball". Originated from the Chadwick estate, includes LOA from James Spence PSA/DNA: EX-MT
