Description: Lot of (37) 1946-49 W603 Sports Exchange cards with Lou Gehrig. Sizeable number of approx. 7"x10" cards which are done on heavy stock and issued in (12) different series in the mid-late 1940s. Notables include Earle Combs (possibly trimmed), Bill Dickey (EX), Jimmy Foxx (GD), Frank Frisch (EX), Lou Gehrig (PSA VG-EX+ 4.5), Joe Gordon (GD/VG), Carl Hubbell (VG/EX-EX), Travis Jackson (VG/EX-EX), Herb Pennock (GD/VG), Pee Wee Reese (trimmed), and Billy Southworth (EX, ink mark on back). The balance are spread over a number of different series and are in average VG condition with GD-EX general range and include Walker Cooper, Rip Sewell, Luke Sewell, Vern Stephens, Ed Stanky*, Dixie Walker*, Tom Henrich*, John Sain*, Marty Marion*, Cecil Travis, Nick Altrock, and George Case. Those with an (*) following the name have an ink mark on back and please note that a few are noticably short (top to bottom and/or side to side). Also included are some additional "commons" from the later series which features two players per card and these have been cut in half and taped back together.
