Description: Scarce "Haddon Hall" African American baseball team photograph c.1890s-1900s. Exceedingly rare oversized sepia toned team photograph showing African American players in what were then top of the line uniforms with similar quality equipment. Uniform fronts have "Haddon Hall" lettered on and there is an Atlantic City studio mark impressed in the mount. Haddon Hall was one of the first hotels to open in Atlantic City and the team was presumably either sponsored by or comprised of workers for the establishment. Image measures 10.5"x13" is largely unaffected by the surface wear/chipping which appears throughout the original 16"x20" mount (See online image for full mount view).
