Description: Ty Cobb autographed handwritten letter with content regarding Ted Williams (PSA/DNA 10 GEM MINT) Dated February 23, 1958 handwritten letter penned on Cobb's letterhead in his trademark green ink with interesting baseball related content. Cobb, remarks, in part, as to the challenges that players of the current era (1950s) had to face as opposed to his playing era. Content includes Cobb's sympathies for, "Ted Williams very much and also many other boys." and "I fully agree as to baseball as of today versus the baseball as it was played back in our day, yes the old boys would have hit this lively ball over the fences, without them shortening up the stands built in close, also temporary structures as they have done also the boys hit the runs in, look at the records, also they hit for high averages."
