Description: Outstanding “Mr. October” - Reggie Jackson - large format bronze. Exceptionally well done bronze showing Mr. October as a member of the New York Yankees is his familiar batting follow through pose. The piece stands just under (2) feet tall on 20”x30” wooden platform base. Marked within the work by noted sculptor Don Huntsman with “AP/44” (Artists Proof) designation. A similar piece was donated by the artist and now resides in the collection of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Among the larger and most well executed pieces of this type which we have handled. Includes an original 1994 dated letter of appraisal from the artist, a series of photographs which were taken during the making of the original piece, Reggie Jackson signed small photo inscribed to the model who posed for the body of the sculpture, and a Reggie Jackson single signed baseball: NMEstimated Price Range: ($3,000-$5,000)
