Description: Ty Cobb professional quality decal baseball bat c.1911-16 ( MEARS A7). Louisville Slugger dash dot dash model bat measures 34 1/2" long and weighs 37 oz displaying a rare vertical Ty Cobb decal on the barrel end. Decal remains approx. 85% intact with some evident chipping from use. The bat itself also displays heavy use including ball marks throughout the barrel area and several distinct cleat marks. Letter "B: is hand carved into the end of the knob. There is some compelling supportive evidence that this type of decal bat was used by players in MLB game play. Additionally, the specific length and weight of the offered Cobb decal bat is consistent with documented H&B Ty Cobb game bat factory records and no retail Cobb decal bats were advertised in this specific length.
