Description: Rare high grade c.1937 Lou Gehrig endorsed Athco cleats in original pictorial box. Very rare pair of adult size baseball cleats which were endorsed by Lou Gehrig each have his facsimile signature on the bottom along with an "Athco" mark. They appear all but unworn with just a touch of light natural age/storage related wear. Housed in the original box which has Gehrig pictured on the end cap label. The box shows wear throughout including scuffs, small holes, and chipping. Lid has split at seams and has wear/chipping and some moisture damage/stains. The label, which pictures Gehrig, displays very nicely despite a scuff that effects the image portion.
