Description: 1917 New York Giants World Series press pin. Original pin issued for games played at the Polo Grounds is a unique design with a raised baseball at the center of a blue enameled background. Marked "Dieges & Clust" on the screw down closure. Very strong overall condition with little mentionable wear. An exceedingly rare pin and the first we can recall handling in some time. Jim Thorpe and the Giants would face off against, and ultimately loose to, a formidable Chicago White Sox team in the Series which stretched to (6) games (3 of which were played in New York): EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
