Description: ***UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Billy Hitchcock Detroit Tigers professional model home jersey with related professional model hat c.1959-60. Cream color flannel shirt with "Tigers" team name in navy blue along with matching "26" underneath and on the back. Wilson manufacturer's label inside collar with size 42 indicator. "Coach W Hitchcock" and "Set 2-59-34" chain stitched strip tags on tail front. Very fine evidence of moderate use/wash wear throughout. The shirt does have some very small holes to the sleeve areas and few other scattered spots largely on the perimeter likely from mounting/framing at one time. NOTE: The original "shell" for the offered shirt was a period Tigers jersey having the gothic style "D" removed and "Tigers" added on by the team for the one year style (1960). Lot also includes Tigers professional model hat retaining its Wilson manufacturer's label in interior headband area.
