Proclamation done on heavy stock reads in part, "The Sporting News congratulates Bill Russell on his selection to the annual National Basketball Association All-Star Team…" and the year "March 1961" is written at lower left. It has been secretarially signed at lower right by J.G. Taylor Spink and comes housed in its original presentation style gilt lettered red leather folio. Light general wear with what appears to be a few moisture stains. One of (12) consecutive seasons in which Russell would make an All-Star Game appearance.
