Description: 1956 Bill Russell University of San Francisco All-American Award (Second All-American Award/NCAA Championship Season) Original award presented to Russell for his second straight All-American collegiate season in which he captured All-American honors and led the University of San Francisco team to NCAA Championship. Laminated composite plaque is inscribed to Russell and hand signed (under laminate) by Chuck Taylor. Russell was elected to the first team with all recipients printed at left side. 8"x11" retaining its original easel backstand. Russell's collegiate career remains one of the most dominant in NCAA history with his defensive approach changing the course of the game.
