Proclamation done on heavy stock reads in part, "The Sporting News congratulates Bill Russell on his selection to the annual National Basketball Association All-Star Team…" An additional insert notes the year (1961-62) and lists members of both the first and second teams. It has been secretarially signed at lower right by J.G. Taylor Spink and comes housed in its original presentation style gilt lettered red leather folio. Light general wear with a touch of light scattered toning/discoloration. One of (12) consecutive seasons in which Russell would make an All-Star Game appearance.
