Description: 1973 Willie Stargell professional model baseball bat (PSA "GU 8.5") team signed by the Pirates. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Stargell facsimile signature in the barrel measures 36" long and weighs 35.6oz. Model number "K44" is factory stamped in the knob however partially missing due to a mounting hole which was drilled in either end. Uncracked with nice use including ball/contact marks on the left hitting surface. Signed throughout by over (30) members of the Pirates organization including Stargell (personalized), Danny Murtaugh, Bill Mazeroski, Manny Sanguillen, Dave Parker, Joe L. Brown, Bob Moose, Gene Alley, Richie Hebner, Dock Ellis, and others. Marker signatures generally rate 8 out of 10 with two or three lesser (Stargell approx. 6). The 1973 season was perhaps Stargell's best offensively hitting .299 while leading the N.L. in homeruns, doubles, and RBI. An outstanding game bat dating the to heart of his storied career in Pittsburgh with impeccable provenance as obtained by Pat Kervin during his time with the Pirates in Spring Training.
