Description: 1978 Dave Parker autographed Pittsburgh Pirates professional model road jersey (MVP Award winning season) (SGC/Grob: "Superior"). Popular style has "Pirates" team name across the front with number "39" below. Number also appears on back below the name, "Parker." Descente tag is on the front tail with a wash tag and embroidered "39 48 78" strip tag (denoting player, size, and year). Signed "Dave Parker" on the front in marker rating 8 out of 10. Appropriate use and wash wear are evident throughout. Parker was named the National League MVP in 1978 and lead the League in hitting for the second consecutive season. He would also earn the second of three consecutive Gold Gloves for his play in the field. The following year he and Willie Stargell would lead the "We Are Family" Pirates to a World Series Championship. A highly desirable game jersey from one of the top players of the era.
