Description: Steve Nicosia Pittsburgh Pirates 1979 World Series attributed professional model helmet (EX). Yellow and black helmet with the "P" team logo on front has player number "16" written on the back in vintage marker. "Pro-Celd" and "American Baseball Cap" decals are inside with the later noting size (7). Strong use is evident throughout. Nicosia was famously engaged in an onfield fracas with an overzealous fan just after the Pirates won the 1979 World Series. He lost his helmet in the scuffle and it was picked up by our consignor who was on field at the time. Includes letter of provenance and LOA from Hunt Auctions: EXEstimated Price Range: ($300-$500)
