Description: 1984 Dave Winfield New York Yankees professional model road jersey (SGC/Grob: "Superior"). Road jersey has "New York" team name across the front and number "31" on back. In the collar is a "Winfield 84 1" embroidered strip tag (denoting player, year, and set number). Wilson tag on the front tail notes size (44) and has adjacent "tapered" custom hem tag and an additional which can no longer be read (faded due to use/wash). Strong use and wash wear are evident throughout. Winfield is shown in an included 8"x10" photograph wearing a similar style road jersey and an additional print with enlarged images of the front of the shirt he is wearing and the offered jersey suggests a possible photo match. Winfield hit (.340) in 1984 losing out on the A.L. batting title to teammate Don Mattingly after a memorable chase throughout the season.
