Description: 1890 Cleveland Spiders team cabinet photograph with George Davis. Rare oversized cabinet mounted photograph showing uniformed team members in a crystal clear studio setting. With the exception of (3) players, all are identifier along the lower edge in period ink including Stockwill, Gilks, Veach, Daily, Lincoln, Wadsworth, Smalley, Parsons, Ardner, McKean, Sommers, Schmeltz, Zimmer, and Beatin. Those whom are seated on the floor (and not listed above) include Hall of Famer George Stacey Davis who appears on the left. The image (visible area approx. 16.5"x12.5") is remarkably well preserved with little to no mentionable visible wear. What can be seen of the mount along the lower edge has some moisture staining and a tear/crack at the center (it can be presumed that some additional damage is hidden below matting).
