Description: Cincinnati Reds display with (20) endorsed/autographed 1920 payroll checks and 1919 team photo. Impressive framed display (31.75"x42") has glass on both sides to allow for viewing of both the front and back of all pieces inside. Situated at the top is a team photo (approx. 12"x7.5") showing members of the 1919 World Series Champion Reds with "Boillinger" studio mark on the front and their paper label visible on the back of the mount. Matted below are a total of (20) 1920 team issued payroll checks, all made out to and endorsed on the back by members/associates of the 1919 team. Includes Jake Daubert, Pat Moran, August Hermann, Adolpho Luque, Heinie Groh, Edd Roush, Nick Allen, Pat Duncan, Ed Gerner, Greasy Neale, Morrie Rath, Dutch Reuther, Slim Sallee, Jimmy Ring, Hod Eller, Rube Bressler, Ray Fisher, Larry Kopf, Bill Rariden, and Ivey Wingo. Checks show typical bank cancellations and light to mild general handling wear. Each is signed on the back in period fountain pen generally rating 7 out of 10 or better however there are few which have faded. Included are a number of highly desirable and/or very tough player autographs from a widely collected team on tremendous association pieces.
