Description: Rare Philadelphia Athletics professional model home jersey c.1921-23 Cream colored flannel has a "Spalding" manufacturer's tag in the collar with "7 43" chain stitch embroidered to the left (the number "11" is handwritten in this same area). On the left front chest is a felt Athletics logo elephant patch (largely intact - some areas of minor loss - and firmly attached) and the shirt has blue trim accent. Sleeves both have bottom holes on the ends to allow for attachment of extra length in cold weather months. Use and some general age related wear/toning and some minor staining/discoloration throughout. An immensely rare and highly desirable style that remains among the most recognizable baseball uniforms ever issued.
