Description: Rare 1932 Joe Cronin sidewritten professional model baseball bat (PSA "GU 10"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Cronin facsimile signature in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 31oz. Outstanding use with the upper hitting surface covered in ball and contact marks and there is an upper handle crack. Side written by Louisville Slugger employee Henry Morrow in grease pencil, "Joe.Cronin.7-19-32." This is a highly desirable trait which helps to place the bat directly in Cronin's hands as a favored model which was returned when broken in order to be replicated. The "Powerized Pat. Pending" logo beside centerbrand indicates manufacture in 1931 and the dated sidewriting helps narrow the window of use to the year just after at latest.
