Description: Lot of (2) Philadelphia Athletics team signed baseballs c.1931. Pair of baseballs dated to the A's American League Championship season by the inclusion of Phil Todt whom was only with the team that year. Includes red and blue stitched Reach E.S. Barnard OAL ball which has been signed by (13) incl. Eddie Collins, Al Simmons, Jimmie Dykes, Eric McNair, Mickey Cochrane, Ed Rommel, and others. Fountain pen signatures rate 7 to 8 out of 10 and the ball displays mild toning with some scattered spotting/discoloration and well defined stampings. Additional signatures of Lefty Grove and Jimmie Foxx are stamped; Reach W.Harridge OAL ball which has been signed by approx. (18) with all having largely faded from view and now rating 1-3/4 out of 10. Notables which can be made out incl. Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, and Lefty Grove. Cochrane is clubhouse.
