Lot Number: 22

Description: Rare 1912 Chicago White panoramic photograph. Sepia toned image of team members standing shoulder to shoulder is dated May 20, 1912 and includes Ed Walsh, Buck Weaver, Nixey Callahan, and Kid Gleason. Captioned within (along the lower edge along with player identifiers) to relay that they are shown in the then newly opened Fenway Park. The Red Sox vs. White Sox game which took place that day saw Ed Walsh lose to Smokey Joe Wood in what was surely one of the better pitching matchups of the season. Framed to 13"x41.75" with visible area (approx. 6.5"x37.75") showing light toning and little mentionable wear. Marked "Glines" at lower left corner. One of only two or three copies we have handled: Apparent EX/MT-NM
