Description: Rare 1923 New York Yankees World Championship presentational watch fob. Exceptional quality 14K gold baseball shaped fob has blue enameled paint on several panels noting, "1923 Yankees World's Champions JJK". The ball is attached to a swivel style clasp with interlocked gold chain, both of which are also marked 14K gold. Light surface handling wear. The award was manufactured by noted New York metalworks firm Dieges & Clust. Manufacturer's documentation is corroborated by the only other example of this important presentational piece that we are aware of, and previously handled, which included the original Dieges & Clust leather casing. Very fine and significant presentational piece issued in conjunction with the Yankees first World Championship in 1923. Additionally notable in its origination to a Hall of Fame member who was one of six total on the team (players and coaches). 5" long, 0.4 ounces total weight.
