Description: Interesting collection of (14) 1897 New York Giants related photographs. Images range in size from 4"x4" to 5"x8" each affixed to period album mounts trimmed to size and laid down on linen backing. Photos have period ink numeric i.d.'s at bottom margin along with player last names and stamped date of March 1897. Players include George Davis, Ed Doheny, Jouett Meekin, Charlie Gettig, Kid Gleason, and several images of owner Andrew Freedman including in horse drawn cart. Two other images of the larger size variant depict the Giants team in uniform with one as a procession down a town street. General condition overall is fairly strong with some lightness on several images not uncommon to photos of this type/period.
