Description: 1969 Johnny Bench Gold Glove Award. Prestigious award as presented annually to the premier defensive players of the National and American League by position. Classic design showcases a gold finish Rawlings leather glove with "Major League All Star Fielding Team" impressed in black lettering. This sits atop a pedestal that has a metal placard imprinted with a likeness of Bench on front. On either side sit a pair of gold finished baseballs in three pronged holders one of which has a small repaired crack. Additional metal placard on the lower front reads, "C - Johnny Bench - 2nd Award, 1969 The Sporting News National League All-Star Fielding Team". Measures 6.5"x17.25" at widest points and stands approx. 16.5" tall. Touch of light wear. The second of (10) Gold Gloves Bench would earn as the Reds catcher.
