Description: 1972 Johnny Bench Cincinnati Reds National League Championship ring (NL MVP Season). Appealing design features the Reds team logo on top which is accented by (11) small stones and ringed by "1972 Cincinnati NL Champions" titling. The name "Bench" appears at top of one shank which has a rendering of Riverfront stadium and the number "5" below. Opposite displays the National League logo and "Reds 3 Pirates 2" NLCS results. Size (14.5) and marked "Balfour 14K" on the interior band. (35) Grams. Light general wear as expected. Bench once again led the Reds to the NL Championship behind his second Most Valuable Player award season. In one of his finest regular season campaigns he collected 40 home runs and 125 RBIs to lead the league. In the NLCS Bench led the way for the Reds to defeat the Pirates behind a .333 batting average and outstanding defensive play. Includes letter of provenance from Johnny Bench: EX/MTMT
