Description: 1966 Cincinnati Reds letter to Johnny Bench (pre-Rookie). January 26, 1966 typewritten letter on "Cincinnati Reds, Inc." stationery sent to a then (18) year old Bench "to extend an invitation for you to start Spring Training…" Bench was coming off the 1965 season during which he was a member of the Tampa Tarpons and he would play in the Minors for another season before joining the Reds in 1967. This was the first exposure that he got to play at the Major League level. Typical mailing folds and a touch of light wear.
