Nicely done presentational piece stands 9.75" tall with an engraved metal placard on base front having a Baseball Writers Association of American logo in the upper left corner. Text reads "J.Roy Stockton Award, For Outstanding Achievement In Baseball For 1970 To John Bench, St. Louis Chapter BBWAA." Bench became the youngest player to win the National League M.V.P. in 1970 enjoying what was likely his finest statistical season hitting .293 with a League leading (45) home runs.
