Description: 1966 Johnny Bench Minor League Player of The Year Award. Wooden plaque (7.25"x9.5") has a "National Association, Professional Baseball Leagues" logo applied at the bottom with a placard above reading "Topps Chewing Gum George M. Trautman Award, Minor League Player-of-the-Year, John Bench, C, Peninsula, Carolina League." Then (18) years old, Bench excelled as a member of Peninsula Grays hitting .294 with (22) homeruns. The team was so impressed with his play, from both sides of the plate, that his uniform number (8) was retired before he departed for Triple-A ball. Little to no mentionable wear.
