Description: Extremely rare 1910 "Orange Borders" near complete set (34 different). Obscure early issue featuring a host of notable players and rarely, if ever, offered in this quantity. The cards were distributed as a panel on "Geo. Davis Co...Candy and Jewelry" boxes and while text on those boxes (a handful of which survive intact) notes that there were to be (144) subjects in the set only (35) have been confirmed to date (the offered group missing only Sherry Magee from the known checklist). All cards in this lot are cropped to the image (no orange border remains) and each has a stamp on the back along with varying degrees/types of other wear. A total of (7) were sent to SGC for encapsulation (as noted) and all were given an "A" (authentic) designation rather than a number grade.
