Description: Rare Frank Chance autograph with Johnny Evers and Joe Tinker. Framed display (17.5"x25.5") celebrating the famed infield trio whom were forever immortalized in Franklin Pierce Adams poem "Baseball's Sad Lexicon." Each appears on paper with Chance on 2.5"x4" slip which is mounted to heavy stock backing. Evers is on a 2.5"x4.25" lined sheet of paper which he has signed with his full name "John J. Johnny Evers" and inscribed "Tinker to Evers to Chance" with a 1935 date noted below. Tinker is on a smaller heavy stock card. Signatures rate 8 to 8/9 out of 10. Each is secured in place with conservator's tape that could be removed by a professional. Chance is a noted rarity with few examples in circulation and this being one of perhaps two or three that we have ever offered.
