Description: Rare "Play Ball" baseball themed coin operated machine c.1930s. Exceedingly rare table or counter top game is the only example we can recall handling and offers very strong display qualities given the large size and appealing design. Wooden cased game allowed the player to hit a ball into play where it would circle several times before falling into one of a few slots to decide the outcome. "Play Ball" titling appears on both the central mirrored background and within the original header which is affixed at top. The piece stands 37.5" tall (7.5"x17" footprint) and has some scattered handling and storage wear to the exterior along with a few scuffs and scrapes to the paint.
