Description: 1983 Mike Schmidt National League Home Run Champion "Mel Ott Memorial Award". Significant presentational piece has been bestowed by the National League on their leading home run hitter annually since 1959. Mahogany wooden frame has silver edge interior portion which is lined in crushed blue velvet. A medallion mounted within hosts a relief image of Ott that is captioned, "Mel Ott Memorial Award Home Run Championship National League." Below is an engraved brass placard reading "1983 Mike Schmidt Philadelphia Phillies 40 Home Runs". Touch of light wear throughout. Schmidt continued his National League home run dominance once again in 1983 leading the Phillies to a World Series appearance.
