Description: Rare 1970 Mike Schmidt Topps All-America presentational award. Original award presented to Schmidt in recognition of his selection as the first team shortstop for the All-America Team while attending Ohio University. Walnut wooden plaque measures 10"x12" with printed insertion having titling as presented to Schmidt by t he Topps Chewing Gum Co. and has been signed by Topps President Sy Berger along with Richard Siebert with the Amer. Assoc. of College Baseball Coaches. Very rare original black and white image of Schmidt is affixed to the top left corner of the certificate picturing him wearing Ohio University uniform. Light surface wear to the wooden plaque with some minor age toning to left perimeter of the certificate.
