Description: Significant Robin Roberts Baseball Hall of Fame presentational plaque. Substantive bronze on wood plaque representing a scaled down version of that which hangs in the Hall of Fame was presented to Roberts on July 25, 1999 during a "members only" dinner at which he and his contemporaries were present. The text offers a fine summation of his lengthy career, the bulk of which was spent with the Phillies, reading in part, "Tireless worker who never missed a start in decade of the fifties. Won 286 over 19 year career, won 20 game games 6 years in a row for Philadelphia Whiz Kids..." One of only a handful of such pieces to have entered the marketplace and the most important as relates to a Phillies player which are aware of.
