Description: George Whiteman professional model baseball bat c.1920s. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 34.75" long and weighs 38.4oz. Extensive usage wear and surface soiling is evident throughout and areas of damage were repaired in the period with nails. An original mailing label remains affixed from when the bat was sent back to Louisville Slugger with the name "Geo. Whiteman" noted in the return address. Then playing in the Minor Leagues, he had previously been a member of the 1913 Yankees and 1907 and 18 Red Sox. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($300-$500)
