Description: Exceptional 1960 Dick Groat Pittsburgh Pirates professional model World Series attributed home uniform. Cream colored vest style jersey has "Pirates" team name lettered across the front and number "24" on back. "Rawlings" tag appears on the front tail with adjacent size "42" tag. Embroidered below is "Groat 24 60" denoting player, number, and year. Wash tag is inside. Pants have matching Rawlings and wash tags along with "Groat" and "24 35 25 ins 60" embroidered strip tags. The tagging and embroidery in both pieces match other home uniforms which are likewise known to have been worn in the World Series. Outstanding overall condition with mild usage and some light general age related wear throughout. Included is a long sleeve undershirt by Tim McAuliffe as put away with the uniform by Groat in the period (number "20" is written on in faded black marker).
