Description: Dick Groat's 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series trophy. Desirable original trophy as presented to Groat for his efforts during the Pirates Championship season for which he earned the National League's Most Valuable Player Award and claimed the N.L. batting title. Figural piece stands 11" tall with team name brass pennants around the base which supports a finial topped brass circle. Yankees and Pirates World Series press pins are mounted in the front. Brass band encircling the base reads, "World Champions, Pittsburgh Pirates, 1960." Original "Balfour" label remains on the underside. Light tarnish and wear.
