Description: 1971 Roberto Clemente Sport Magazine Top Performer in Baseball award. Walnut wooden plaque with inset brass placard inscribed to Clemente in recognition of his selection as the Top Performer in Baseball for the 1971 season. Pair of cast brass eagles are found at either side of the brass placard and are modern replacements of the originals due to damage. Brass placard has some minor surface patination with remainder of the award presenting in fine overall condition. The award is accompanied by an original 8"x10" sepia tone photograph showing Clemente at the dinner receiving Sport Magazine's most prestigious annual award. 12"x15".
