Description: Early 1940s Mel Ott scrapbook. Oversized hardcover album (19"x23.5") is filled with newspaper and publication page clippings along with several period 8"x10" photographs. Also inside is a 12"x20" sepia toned photo showing attendees at a 1942 Baseball Writers dinner, several letters written to Ott (including 1938 Kellogg Company "most popular third baseman" congratulatory letter), and several pages from another book which are tucked inside. Mild age and storage wear with some loose pieces and areas where others have been removed. Includes letter of provenance from the Ott Family: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
