Description: "Babe Ruth Hits 60th Home Run" photographic display c.1927. Large format sepia toned photo showing Ruth as he crosses homeplate after hitting his milestone home run during the 1927 season. The image measures approx. 16"x13.25" with visible wear to include creasing/wrinkles and a pair of tears. "Dispatch Photo News Service" mark is imprinted at lower right. Matted below is the original descriptive caption (water stained). An unusually large photograph with respect to the era in which it was printed showing Ruth during one of the most important moments of his career.
