Description: Spectacular Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autographed large format photograph c.1929-30 (PSA/DNA MINT 9). Stunning sepia tone original large format image in a matte finish measuring 10 1/2"x13 1/2" depicting Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig standing together during a barnstorming tour. Ruth is wearing his New York Yankees warm up jacket while holding his "Bustin Babes" barnstorming hat. Gehrig standing to the left of Ruth in full uniform also holding his barnstorming "Larrupin Lou's" hat. Each player has signed their respective image area in black fountain pen ranging from 9 to 10 out of 10. Signature strength and presentation is outstanding with minimal, if any, age fading. The photograph itself presents in original condition with the exception of an area of professional restoration to some chipping at the very top left corner area not affecting the central image in any fashion. Two small line creases at top border and some wear to top right corner are noted as well. Contrast and clarity are absolutely flawless with stunning visible detail. High condition grade Ruth and Gehrig signed images are notably rare with the offered large format specimen ranking as the finest such example we have encountered with regard to size/condition grade.
