Description: 1939 Boston Red Sox Old-Timers Day autographed sheets. Series of lined paper sheets signed by participants in the July 12, 1939 Fenway Park event which hosted nearly (70) former players. A total of (44) attendees have signed incl. G.C. Alexander, Walter Johnson, John Evers, Tris Speaker, Joe Wood, Harry Hooper, Frank Baker, Chief Bender, Kid Nichols, Fred Tenney, and others. Period fountain pen and pencil signatures rate 7/8 to 8/9 out of 10. All appear on slips of paper which have been mounted to a larger (approx. 8"x11") scrapbook page. Scattered toning/discoloration and some wear along with chipping/missing sections along left side. Includes a number of additional scrapbook pages to which articles and some other pieces related to the game have been affixed. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Sigs.
