Description: 1905 Charles W. Murphy autographed studio photograph. Sepia toned portrait photo remains on original "Geo. Smith" marked cabinet mount. It has been signed on the back, "Chas W. Murphy, Chicago National League BB Club, 1905, To my friend, James R Price, New York Press." Signature rates 8 out of 10. Mount has one edge/border trimmed off and several tack holes situated near corners. A small amount of mask has been applied to the image which has a few other minor flaws. There are a pair of notations on the back above the autograph. Murphy owned the Chicago Cubs from 1905-1914 presiding over their 1907 and 08 Championship seasons.
