Description: 1958-59 Mel Ott scorebook as Detroit Tigers announcer. Spiral bound scorebook by MacGregor as used by Mel Ott during his time as an announcer/broadcaster. A portion of the pages have been filled out in his hand and record details from approx. (37) games which appear to have been played during the 1958 and 59 seasons. Notable among these are a Mickey Mantle home run game (Sept. 17, 1959) and the 1959 All-Star Game. Light general handling and storage wear. Includes 8.25"x10" sepia toned photo of Ott in the broadcast booth with Van Patrick, auction LOA from JSA (confirming handwriting), and letter of provenance from the Ott Family: Overall EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
